What wouldn't be a wedding without drama? We get it. Izzy's beau is introduced to us, poor guy. Once the girl who couldn't say a dirty word, is now the girl who loves it dirty. Suzy, she's such a great character and has grown so much and evolved. But that could change, I'm such a book whore. So glad we got to read it from their pov and not from another book and character. I loved being able to read about the upcoming wedding. Chelle Bliss, girl, those first few pages I was like "wth? OMG!" You little tricker. Can they fix it, or will Suzy and City never see the day they become man and wife to each other? But like every couple there is some stuff that tries to derail them. They're just trying to get to the alter, together. Your love is as vital to me as the air I breathe.-"-City Life can't be smooth, both City and Suzy have get over the huge bumps in the road, before they say I do. Throttled follows both City and Suzy for a few weeks before their big day. We came to know and love this couple in Throttle Me, now we get to read about them becoming man and wife. Not wasting any more of my money on this type of nonsense.ĪRC REVIEW from ABIBLIOPHOBIA ANONYMOUS BOOK REVIEWS BLOG What the fuck is there for HIM to grovel about? That's it for me. I mean, he was rightfully upset that his woman was humping and grinding on other men just before their wedding. And not everyone wants to read about hoes!Īdd to that having the hero being a p***ywhipped idiot grovelling for NO reason. or making a heroine who doesn't sleep around feel bad about or question her choices. but I can't stand authors who glorify their female leads sleeping around. I'm not saying being a manhoe is a virtue, I don't think it is. Women and men are not meant to behave the same way in everything. I like classy, self-respecting women who know how to keep their legs closed. and I know that's the gold standard now for "modern" female behaviour, but fuck that. I can't stand fmcs like her (Izzy) and I sure as hell won't be reading her book even though I have a free copy of it. I bet the author modelled this character after herself. And everyone putting Izzy on this pedestal as the epitome of female strength. The men are attractive, although way too sappy & in their feminine energy for supposedly badass alpha men. The more I read through the reviews (since I've only read City & Suzy's book + this novella), the more I find myself not liking Chelle Bliss's universe. If anyone should be groveling it should have been Suzy, esp because if the situations were reversed she would have lost her shit. Seriously, who are the women who find this kind of behaviour attractive? I want their lives to be shown and for them to be real!Īnother dumb-ass male lead groveling for the fmc's transgressions. I want their happily ever after, their struggles, their arguments and peace, their babies, family and dreams. The most diverse and well-rounded person I know (.) He wasn't easy or simple, but he was mine" "City's an artist, a romantic, a loving partner, a cook, and an amazing person. They complete and add to each other all the good things. They have different backgrounds and families, but together they start their own reality. They could be polar opposites and have so much in comon. "To say I was proud to call her mine was a complete understatement" I love that they hurt each other and apologize, I love that they get hurt and forgive, I love that they love each other so much they can't control themselves. I love their love, their passion and chemistry, thier fights and reconciliation. I love Joe and Suzy, and seeing a glimpse of their future (and of their start) is so amazing!
